“Self-reflection can be a difficult process, specifically when it comes to identifying and refining my desires. There’s a certain tension in trying to pin down what I truly want; my desires seem both vivid and elusive, existing in my mind as a complex blend of emotions, ideas, and instincts that I struggle to articulate. They are substantial int he sense that I can feel their existence, yet they stay just out of grasp when I attempt to define or completely appreciate their shape. Time seems like a limited resource, a continual reminder that the timer is running out and that my window for achieving my goals is closing.”
The Call of the Void
“The call of the void” captures the difficult conflict between trying to overcome unwanted, sometimes illogical ideas and becoming the most ideal version of myself. This viewpoint aligns with the concept that, despite uncomfortable mental distractions, I have a drive to push myself to the highest level. These “void-like” ideas, which can be sinister, alert me of the chaos inside, but they also show how crucial it is to face them vigorously without giving in. I can see in my reflection in this delicate balance between facing the emptiness and choosing advancement”
Revel in the vision
I put this shoot together with the idea as we enter our mid-20’s that we are balancing on the tightrope of becoming all we’ve ever wanted to be or becoming nothing. To choose advancement, to push your limitations and become more than you ever thought you could, to become the vision, the aesthetic, the inspiration you look up too. This is what the idea behind this shoot meant to me. Refined Intensity was brought to life to pull the inspiration we gain everyday and bring it to life in our own way.
